Convert Photoshop brushes to Krita

Converting a .abr to .kpp rebuilds the brush as native Krita settings rather than a flat image. The tip image embeds in the preset and texture scale maps onto Krita's 0 to 200% range. The result screen names what carried over from the .abr and what was adjusted to fit Krita.

How it works

1. Upload your Photoshop brush. Drop the .abr file into the converter. We support multi-brush files.
2. Pick Krita as the target. You can select several targets at once and get one download per format.
3. Download and install. Import through Settings › Manage Resources…, or drop the .kpp into your Krita resource folder and restart Krita. The brush tip embeds in the preset.

What carries over

From Photoshop: Brush tips, grain with its blend mode and depth, spacing, scatter, and the full pressure dynamics with their curves and minimum floors.

Writing to Krita: The brush tip embeds in the preset, and texture settings map onto Krita's 0 to 200 percent texture scale. Brushes that mix color map to Krita's Color Smudge engine behavior where possible.
