Convert Photoshop brushes to Krita

.abr → .kpp in your browser. Textures, grain and pressure curves carry over — and the result screen lists exactly what was preserved and what was adjusted.

How it works

  1. Upload your Photoshop brush. Drop the .abr file into the converter. Multi-brush files are supported.
  2. Pick Krita as the target. You can select several targets at once and get one download per format.
  3. Download and install. Import through Settings › Manage Resources…, or drop the .kpp into your Krita resource folder and restart. The tip image is embedded in the preset.

What carries over

From Photoshop: Tip imagery, texture/grain with its blend mode and depth, spacing, scatter, and the full pressure dynamics (size, opacity, flow) with their curves and minimum floors.

Writing to Krita: The tip is embedded directly in the preset and texture settings map onto Krita's 0–200% texture scale exactly. Brushes that mix colour map to Krita's Color Smudge engine behaviour where possible.

Common questions

Will the brush feel the same in Krita? Yes, Brushfactory reads the brush into a universal schema and writes native Krita settings. Brushfactory never rasterizes strokes or approximates by eye. Where a setting has no equivalent in Krita, the result screen tells you exactly what was adjusted.
Is it free? A free account gets you monthly conversions at no cost; Pro removes the limits and adds batch conversion.
What happens to your files? Uploads are converted in memory and deleted after each conversion. Your brushes stay yours.
