How it works

Upload your GIMP brush. Drop the .gbr / .gih / .vbr file into the converter. Multi-brush files are supported.
Pick Procreate as the target. You can select several targets at once and get one download per format.
Download and install. Send the file to your iPad (AirDrop, Files, or cloud drive) and tap it — Procreate imports it straight into your brush library. Sets arrive as a single .brushset.

What carries over

From GIMP: Tip imagery with its size and spacing from .gbr and .gih (the first frame of an animated brush), and the full parametric recipe of a .vbr — radius, hardness, aspect ratio and angle.

Writing to Procreate: The output is a modern Procreate brush archive. Brushes are rebuilt and verified against Procreate's native engine to ensure settings are maintained. Single brushes export as .brush, multi-brush files as .brushset.

Common questions

Will the brush feel the same in Procreate? Yes. Brushfactory maps your brush directly to native Procreate settings. Strokes are never rasterized or estimated. If a setting has no exact equivalent in Procreate, the result screen lists the adjustments.
